A customer brought in this Wayne Gretzky piece that he had framed a few years ago by another framer. He wanted the autograph replaced wtih one that isn't faded.

Unfortunately this piece was framed using Acid matting, scotch tape and cheap plain glass.  As you can see, by choosing a framer who uses plain glass to save money this customers valuable Wayne Gretzky has almost Completely faded over time. And by using scotch tape to tape it to a cheaper acid matt the autograph has started to turn yellow!

Alex reframed this piece with a new Wayne Gretzky autograph, attached to the matt using conservation techniques to avoid any contact with the autographed card itself. He also replaced the plain glass with UV protected conservation glass to prevent future fading!
